We have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level individual to join our team in the position of Account Coordinator.  Working with our North Central Region office, this person will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of the office and providing broad support across all facets of the business.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assigned regional and Local Marketing Association (LMA) duties, varies weekly
  • Heavy tracking of internal reports and metrics
  • Responsible for creative trafficking – broadcast, digital, print, magazine, etc.
  • Client and competitor data “pulls” and data manipulation
  • Maintain central filing system for GM incentive programs, sales, media schedules, commercials, catalogs, product information, EAs, etc.
  • Ongoing exposure to media plan development (eventual input to planning process)
  • Maintain office calendar and arrange meetings
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Trained as a backfill to the Account Executive position, for needed support and individual’s future growth
  • Learn as much as you can about our client’s business!

 Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in related field
  • 0-1 years of agency, marketing or related business experience. A previous related internship and/or temp assignment will be helpful. Media and/or traffic exposure a plus.

We are seeking an entry-level Help Desk Analyst to join our IT department. This person will provide first- and second-level support to users by researching and answering questions, resolving problems, and providing needed resources.

Job Duties:

  • Create, maintain, update, assign, and complete tickets in the MRG Support Ticket System
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and troubleshooting for new tickets in MRG Support Ticket System

  • Improve end user documentation by providing and maintaining written/online documentation of FAQs
  • Provide training and support to end users
  • Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes
  • Assist the Network and System Administrators on rollouts and major projects
  • Create, update and maintain inventory for all purchased equipment
  • Lift and move heavy equipment of 80 pounds or less
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours support (Evenings, weekends, holidays)

DIGITAL TRAFFIC ASSOCIATE- BROADCAST

Summary

 We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Broadcast team serving our clients’ digital advertising needs.  This individual will facilitate delivery of video assets to online streaming services and other internet publishers for a variety of Buick, GMC, and Cadillac models throughout the U.S.  The Digital Traffic Associate serves as an important coordination point between our Digital Media team, our Field Team representatives, our Ad Server team, and fellow Broadcast department employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize digital video traffic requests from our Field Team
  • Work with Field Team and Digital Media team to ensure that traffic requests are coordinated with available online media placements
  • Prepare daily traffic instructions in Excel format for delivery to our Ad Server team; instruction sheet includes a large volume of online media placements that must be matched to the correct video asset
  • Meet daily deadlines working in concert with fellow Broadcast employees who are producing and dubbing the ad files
  • Troubleshoot missing or inaccurate instructions
  • Help develop process improvements over time
  • Assist with other responsibilities as the digital broadcast unit and Digital Media area grow

 Education and Experience:

  • Two to four years of relevant experience utilizing Excel and working with large Excel files/numerous rows of detail
  • Some exposure to digital advertising preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required

ASSISTANT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (IN-HOUSE)

We are currently seeking an Assistant Account Executive (AAE) to join our Account Services group.   The individual will work closely with our Field Integration and Regional Field teams to coordinate all elements of broadcast, print and digital advertising for our clients as well as assist with communication efforts and various internal business management functions.  Additionally, the AAE will be called on to provide region-specific information to meet national reporting requests. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between the regional field team and all departments of the Birmingham service center office, e.g., broadcast, print, and accounting departments
  • Coordinate regional communications and dealer database management
  • Facilitate print projects and scheduling
  • Open and assign a large volume of project numbers to open new production needs
  • Generate cost estimates for various projects and assist with working them through the online approval system
  • Respond to national information requests, such as calculating budget amount used, amount remaining, etc.

 

Education: Bachelors in degree in marketing, advertising, management or related field.

 

Experience:  An internship and/or up to 1 year of experience in an advertising environment is ideal, but not required.  

 

Skills Required:

ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR

Description

Supervise Local Buick and GMC Marketing Association advertising activity in key markets within the Region. Primary client contact with Dealers, Dealer Advisory Boards and individual General Motors Zone Manager(s). Partner with national brand teams in the stewardship of the brand throughout all communications. Should become expert in each local market and its challenges/opportunities. Market responsibilities may include Memphis, New Orleans, and other LMAs (Local Marketing Associations).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day implementation of Regional and Local Market advertising on television, on-line, and radio; coordinate with centers of expertise regarding implementation of other marketing communications
  • Manage and supervise Assistant Account Executive or Account Executive in assisting you in all aspects of your job (single-line, direct report); provide performance feedback, career development and training as needed to employee
  • Present and communicate regional/local marketing needs and opportunities to brand team members and centers of expertise; coordinate with each department to see that client objectives are achieved    
  • Work closely with agency retail advertising group (planner and media team) to develop strategy and media plans/budgets
  • Orchestrate integration of all marketing and communication disciplines
  • Represent client with vendors and at marketing events, etc.; relay information back to agency team

 

Clients:

Clients include local marketing associations dealers, General Motors Zone Managers, and General Motors Field Marketing Managers.

 

Travel:

Moderate travel, possibly 5-8 days per month within the Region (30-40%). Travel will likely include both day and overnight trips.

 

Education:

Minimum 4-year degree

 

Required Experience:

  • 3-5+ years agency account management experience at the Account Supervisor level AND on automotive business
  • Brand building savvy
  • Excellent public speaking abilities; this position requires presenting to clients on a monthly basis
  • Experience with excel, power point and building presentations

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with the demands of automotive/retail and an understanding of the regional market in question
  • An understanding of retail advertising
